Am I the one person on earth for whom these videos won’t work?!? iTunes, AICN, you and Penny Arcade can’t speak highly enough about it, but the billion times I’ve tried the website, it always says the video isn’t available.
Is it me, or was the ending of part 3 really shocking? I mean, I expect Joss to try and break my heart in his full length works, but the format and tone of Dr. Horrible had lulled me into a false sense of security. I thought it was going to be light and fluffy throughout.
The end didn't really shock me. I loved it, because minus the singing it was a note perfect origin story showing why both hero and villian would have cause to despise one another.
I don't know if I would have liked it without the music, honestly. Both the comic book aspect and the musical aspect were done tongue-in-cheek, like parodies of their genre. By combining them, the absurdity is what made it so intriguing, I think.
Btw, there's rumor of a fourth act on the dvd, but I think it was perfect as is.
